an illuminated manuscript
OVERVIEW

This project's goal was to design a non-latin alphabet using the application FontStruct to use in an illuminated manuscript. I based my alphabet off of an imaginary sea-faring culture, with curved symbols that represent different parts of ships, such as an anchor, a keel, and a stern. I designed the alphabet as a system by sharing assets with other letters to create a uniform set of letters. The illuminated manuscript was based off of the cover of the 2003 album "Room on Fire" by the Strokes. The text laid out is an excerpt from the song "Reptillia" off of the same album.

CHALLENGE

In today’s digital environment, audiences are exposed to countless marketing campaigns every day. Standing out requires strong visual identity and compelling storytelling. The challenge was to create a campaign that captures attention while maintaining clarity and brand consistency.

WHAT WE DID

We developed a creative campaign concept supported by bold visuals and interactive digital experiences. The campaign was delivered through landing pages, social media content, and promotional assets. The final result created a cohesive narrative that guided audiences through the product launch.

POST PROJECT REFLECTION
CAMPAIGN STRATEGY AND CONCEPT
  • Art direction

  • Interactive landing pages

  • Motion graphics and animation

  • Social media campaign assets

  • Visual identity for campaign

  • Digital storytelling frameworks

  • Marketing design systems

The campaign design draws inspiration from classic advertising posters and editorial layouts. Bold typography and cinematic visuals create a sense of anticipation around the product launch.

We also built a flexible digital framework that allows the marketing team to expand the campaign across different channels and markets while maintaining a consistent visual identity.

WE WERE HAPPY TO SOLVE

The creative direction drew inspiration from classic advertising campaigns that relied on bold storytelling and strong visual identity. Large headlines, dramatic imagery, and cinematic motion elements were used to create a sense of anticipation and excitement.

We designed the campaign experience as a sequence of digital touchpoints that guide users through discovery, engagement, and action. Landing pages, social media assets, and promotional visuals were all designed to reinforce the same narrative structure.

As the campaign rolled out across multiple channels, the visual system proved flexible enough to adapt to different formats and audiences. This consistency helped strengthen brand recognition while allowing the marketing team to experiment with new creative executions throughout the launch period.
